Artists Statement

I love the immediacy of pastels, the pure color and using my hands as creative tools. I am drawn to the geometric qualities of Islamic art and the flat decorative aspects of Persian and Indian miniatures. To me the prime consideration is the arrangement of color, pattern and line. Creating art creates energy and one sustains the energy by doing it.
